Practices

Senior practice is offered ten times per week. Even though there are no stated attendance requirements for the Senior program, Senior swimmers are expected to attend as many workouts as possible and communicate with the senior coach about their training schedule. Additional practices may be added at coach’s discretion.

The Team Eugene Senior program is designed with the intention of providing the curriculum and atmosphere necessary for success at all levels.

The Senior swimmer is a positive, hard-working example not only for the Team Eugene program, but also for USA Swimming as a whole.

The Team Eugene Senior athlete’s actions and goals reflect the mission statement of USA Swimming: to build, promote, and achieve competitive success.

Note on training: Once swimmers are fully grown and are promoted as far as the Senior program, they must train more and better than they did when they were younger to continue to improve (swim faster).

If you cannot attend all available practices, please attend at least four workouts per week for improvement in stroke technique, comfort in the water and camaraderie with teammates, and ‘feel’ of the water.

Practice will consist of both dry-land and swimming workouts.
